Belco works with farmers, roasters and chocolate makers to preserve the heritage and develop the future of high-quality coffee and cocoa together, while proactively addressing social and environmental challenges.
For the past 10 years, Belco has been impacting the specialty coffee, cocoa and equipment industries based on three pillars: quality, traceability and transparency. This vision became a reality with the creation of its first branch in Ethiopia, as close as possible to the first coffee trees.
To the original pillars, Belco has added sustainability, and the idea of developing, with producers and roasters, solutions to meet the environmental, social and economic challenges of our entire industry. That's why new branches have been opened in El Salvador and Colombia.
Since 2020, Belco's mission has been to decarbonise coffee transport. In September 2024, 940 tonnes of speciality coffee will arrive in Europe, by sailboat, to reach your roasting facilities. A first, a starting point for 100% of our coffee and cocoa to arrive by sail in 2030.
